Ski Trip 2009
After a 2 year hiatus, I found a way to get back to the slopes. Tony Stoll (left) and Neil Wrangham (center) joined me for a long weekend in Colorado. We drove in shifts and shared expenses making it more fun and lots cheaper. |
| Tony was the architect for our house. The partners for his firm are based out of Breckenridge. One of the partners (Marc Hogan) treated us to dinner. |
We met up with another partner (Gene Baker) on the slopes of Breckenridge. The partners also provided us with free passes for the slopes so we were very happy to have brought Tony! |
| I put this one in to support the case for any write-offs that occurred as part of this trip. |

We skied Breckenridge the first day. We were happy to find that we remembered how to ski. We were on the first lift up each day and stayed until they closed the slopes. |
| Tony was our guide to Breckenridge as that was his previous stomping ground. We took plenty of breaks so we didn't kill ourselves. Still, we were so tired after the first day that we slept 11 hours in order to be able to function the second day. |

We spent the second day at Vail. Neither Tony or Neil had ever been to Vail. Since Vail is my top-rated resort, I felt obliged to show them what they were missing. The snow base was good but no new snow meant only fair conditions at all the resorts we visited. Still, we managed to find fun runs. |
| I put this picture in as an apology to Tony. He jumped off the cliff to the upper right part of the picture but I didn't catch it with the right mode. |
Our third day was at Keystone. |
| Neil was partial to the steep groomers. |
Tony preferred the bumps. |
| It was warm (especially after a good bump run), so we took our lunch outside. |

A few more action shots. |
