Becky flew to Tennessee to watch Tom compete in the indoor nationals. He came in ranked 12th in the nation for NAIA division III in race-walking. He had relatively few sanctioned meets during the regular season but had managed to record a qualifying time at his first judged meet. |
| Tom set another personal record (14:16) as he went on to finish 7th (just one off being All-American again). |

Meanwhile, Derrick and Katie had become homeowners. Becky drove down with the trailer the following weekend to help them move in. |
| Derrick had arranged a nice crew so the work was light. |
