October Events

We have stayed close to home in October but have been busy. Dad and Boots stopped by for a short visit with Karyn on their way home from the cabin.

We hosted a Vikings party for our clinic. Becky made a special cake which assured yet another Viking win.

We had a good group over enjoying the game in high def.

Others spent halftime playing pool.

Our church had a Faith in Action Sunday in which the parishioners were encouraged to leave church and do community service. Becky headed up a group wrapping Christmas boxes for Operation Christmas Child.

I worked with Ron Anderson installing window insulation kits in a trailer house in town.

Becky dressed up as Mary Poppins for Halloween. She saw a little girl with a Mary Poppins hat at the Mary Poppins Musical. She went over and asked the girl where she got it and met the grandmother that made it. After chatting a bit, the grandmother offered to make one for Becky too (and here it is).

She likes greeting the kids (here kids of kids that are friends of Andrew).

We had a lot of kids this year. The weather was real nice so everyone was out.

We also enjoyed a couple visits from Tom. He is busy with his last semester of college. His classes are mostly student teaching. He enjoys it. Right now he is teaching at an inner city school so it is more of a challenge. He is starting the job hunt but Minnesota won't let him look until he is within a couple weeks of graduation.
