Construction Update (page 26)

October 29th. Hunting season continues with only one or two workers showing up each day. I worked until I got a backache on 5 successive days to plant grass seed. This corner of the lot is all I have to show for my effort. I estimate that I have 4-5x as much to do before I am done. I took the advice of Wade who long ago told me that you can't help but have a beautiful lawn in Minnesota. That was before he went into the landscaping business. Now I suppose he would say it can't be done without professional help.

Monty and the cabinet guy are evidently the only ones in the entire Perham construction industry that are not out hunting.

October 31st. Further progress. The ground dried out and I was able to use my lawn tractor to turn the dirt. I was able to seed the rest of the lawn in just a couple hours. My back is mad about doing the other part by hand.
