Construction Update (page 26)

October 29th. Hunting season continues with only one or two workers showing up each day. I worked until I got a backache on 5 successive days to plant grass seed. This corner of the lot is all I have to show for my effort. I estimate that I have 4-5x as much to do before I am done. I took the advice of Wade who long ago told me that you can't help but have a beautiful lawn in Minnesota. That was before he went into the landscaping business. Now I suppose he would say it can't be done without professional help.

October 30th. Work begins in the kitchenette downstairs.

Another picture of the trim.

Monty and the cabinet guy are evidently the only ones in the entire Perham construction industry that are not out hunting.

October 31st. Further progress. The ground dried out and I was able to use my lawn tractor to turn the dirt. I was able to seed the rest of the lawn in just a couple hours. My back is mad about doing the other part by hand.

November 4th. There is progress but most of it is trim. Not much new to show. Here is the top for the hutch.

More HVAC work.

November 5th. More trim work.

The windows are looking sharp.

Some of the pillars are taking shape.

These are the panels for my office.

November 6th. We had a bigger crew the past couple days. The railings went in and covers for the window wells.

This is the pantry shelving.

More window trim.

The columns in the corner of the living room.

The wood paneling is in. Good thing they didn't make any mistakes on the hole placement.

The kitchenette counter went in.

Closet shelving.
